Yes, overseas bidders are welcome. You will need to register with a valid email address and a billing address. On selected auctions, a deposit may be required. All lots are sold on a collection-only basis; shipping is entirely your responsibility. Export VAT relief may be available, see our VAT Refund Policy for more details.
Standard buyer registration does not require identity documents. JPS does, however, screen all bidders against UK sanctions lists (OFSI/HM Treasury consolidated list) as part of our legal obligations under UK anti-money laundering legislation. If your details match a sanctions entry, your registration will not be approved.
The buyer's premium is a charge added to the hammer price on every lot. At JPS it is 18% of the hammer price. VAT at 20% is charged on the buyer's premium. For most commercial lots, VAT at 20% also applies to the hammer price itself - the castalogue entry will show the VAT treatment for each lot. For a standard-rated lot with a £1,000 hammer price: hammer VAT = £200, premium = £180, VAT on premium = £36, giving a total of £1,416.

First, check that your card is enabled or online transactions and has sufficient funds.
